AHU Chemical: INDO 6201 - Air Handling Unit (AHU) Cleaning Chemical

Unicchem – INDO 6201 is a powerful, commercial-grade mold inhibitor designed for cleaning and maintaining Air Handling Units (AHU) and HVAC systems. It is formulated to prevent the growth of harmful microorganisms such as mold, mildew, and fungi, which can cause odors, stains, and even damage to the system.

Methods to Clean AHU Fins:

Manual Cleaning: This method involves using mechanical tools but is time-consuming and labor-intensive.
High-Pressure Water Jetting: Effective but expensive and risks damaging the fins.
Cleaning with Chemical Solution (recommended): Regular cleaning with a suitable cleaning fluid like INDO 6201 helps maintain optimal heat transfer efficiency without the need for excessive time or high costs.

Application Methodology:

For cleaning fins and other components in HVAC systems, follow these steps:

1. Dilution: Mix 1 liter of INDO 6201 concentrate with 5 liters of tap water.
2. Application:
  - For small areas, clean by splashing the solution onto the fins using a mug.
  - For larger areas, spray the solution using a hand sprayer or foot-operated pump with all polymer parts.
3. Residence Time: Let the chemical sit on the fin surface for 3-10 minutes.
4. Rinse: After the residence time, thoroughly wash off the chemical using clean water at pressure.

For Immersion Cleaning:

Soak items in the diluted solution for 4-8 hours at room temperature or 2-4 hours at a maximum of 40°C.
Inspect the items every 30 minutes during immersion.
Turn over, redip, and remove the items when clean.
Wash thoroughly with cold running tap water and dry.

Safety Precautions:

Wear acid/alkali-resistant gloves and safety eyewear to protect against splashes.
Ensure good ventilation in the workspace.
