A water softener removes hard minerals like calcium and magnesium from untreated water, replacing them with sodium (salt). The process begins when untreated water enters the brine tank, where it becomes saturated with sodium. This sodium-saturated water then flows into the resin tank, filled with millions of tiny polystyrene beads that attract the sodium molecules. The excess saltwater is purged from the system.
As unsoftened water enters the resin tank, the hard minerals trade places with sodium ions, attaching themselves to the beads until there are no more sodium molecules available. When this happens, the softener regenerates by scrubbing the hard minerals off the beads and draining the wastewater, starting the cycle anew.
When your water softener malfunctions, prompt repairs are crucial to avoid damage caused by hard water. At Unic Chem, we have a dedicated team of water softener repair and maintenance technicians serving Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
Preventive maintenance for your water softener is a long-term investment. We service all makes and models, conducting thorough system checks, including water tests. Our team also provides repairs and AMC services for equipment from other brands and manufacturers.
We recommend using our traditional cleaning reagent, INDO 6202 Resin Cleaning Compound. The choice of cleaning product should be based on the material of the softener’s shell and internal distributors.
