1. Physical Cleaning

Before filling the cooling water system, we physically clean all components to remove mud, debris, mill scale, oil, and grease that could hinder system performance. This process includes:

• Cleaning basins, pipelines, heat exchangers, and cooling towers.
• Removing loose debris, corrosion products, and construction residue.

2. Flushing with Water

After physical cleaning, fresh water is introduced into the system. During this process:

• The pump inlet valve remains closed to allow overflow and flush out debris.
• The system is checked for leaks, and components like flow meters, valves, and water indicators are inspected.
• Pumps are activated, and the system water is continuously flushed until water turbidity matches that of makeup water.

3. Chemical Cleaning (Pre-cleaning) with INDO-8205

To remove corrosion products, a chemical cleaning is performed:

• INDO-8205 is added to lower the pH of circulating water to 6-6.5.
• This process lasts for 4-5 hours, maintaining water circulation to clean the system effectively.
• The water is then neutralized and drained to prepare for the next step.

4. Bio Flushing with INDO-8202

After pre-cleaning, bio-flushing removes microbiological contaminants:

• A shock dose of INDO-8202 bio-dispersant and non-oxidizing biocide is added.
• The system circulates for 8 hours, maintaining a pH of 7-7.2.
• Overflows and blowdowns are conducted to remove suspended materials and fouling deposits.

5. Passivation with INDO-8204

Passivation protects the metal surfaces from corrosion:

• The system is treated with a high-level corrosion inhibitor and antiscalant for 2 days.
• Pumps are operated continuously to ensure uniform chemical distribution and effective passivation.
• The blowdown valve is closed to maintain the passivation film on the metal surface, protecting the system from future corrosion and scaling.

Parameters Monitored:

• Iron content
• pH levels throughout the process
